New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA), 64-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Kent upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Trojans host Grafton (Yorktown, VA) to play the Clippers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Clippers go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Grafton won 56-43 in their recent non-league bout against Tabb (Yorktown, VA)

Next up, the Rams play the Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Packers go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 43-24 non-league win over York (Yorktown, VA).
