Virginia High School Basketball - Arcadia crushes Chincoteague

January 23, 2024: Chincoteague, VA 23336

Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 94-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Arcadia upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Firebirds host Northampton (Eastville, VA) to play the Yellowjackets in a Eastern Shore bout on Thursday, January 25. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Northampton won 74-61 in their recent league bout against Nandua (Onley, VA)

Next up, the Ponies play the Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA) in a Eastern Shore bout, on Thursday, January 25. Chincoteague will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 64-56 non-league loss to Pocomoke (Pocomoke, MD).
