The Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR) basketball crushed the host Atkins Red Devils (Atkins, AR), 74-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Baptist Prep (Little Rock, AR). The Eagles go into the 3A Region 5 test with a 1-15 record. In their last test, Baptist Prep was trounced by Perryville (Perryville, AR), 46-32, in a league test.
The Red Devils now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Maumelle Charter for a 3A Region 5 test on Wednesday, January 24. Atkins will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 67-35 league loss to Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR). The Falcons record now stands at 15-10.
