Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Berkley Bears (Berkley, MI), 54-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Avondale upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Pontiac (Pontiac, MI) to play the Phoenix in a Oakland - Blue bout on Friday, January 26. The Phoenix come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Pontiac won 63-40 in their recent league bout against University (Ferndale, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Troy Colts (Troy, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Berkley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 83-32 league win over Southfield Arts & Tech (Southfield, MI).
