The Emerson Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Bearden Bears to 54 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strong for a 1A Region 8 contest on Thursday, January 25. Emerson will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-59 league win over Nevada (Rosston, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-7.
The Bears (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada (Rosston, AR). The Blue Jays come into the 1A Region 8 contest with a 20-7 record. In their last contest, Nevada was defeated by Strong (Strong, AR), 60-59, in a league contest.
