The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Berrien Rebels to 42 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fitzgerald for a AA Region 1 contest on Friday, January 26. Jeff Davis will battle a Purple Hurricane team coming off a 58-55 league win over Sumter County (Americus, GA). The Purple Hurricane record now stands at 9-9.

The Rebels (1-18) will now prepare for their contest against Cook (Adel, GA). The Hornets enter the AA Region 1 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Cook triumphed over Irwin County (Ocilla, GA), 61-54, in a non-league contest.
