The Bishop McNamara Mustangs basketball team (Forestville, MD), was nudged 60-59 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA)
The Cardinals now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Heights for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 25. Bishop Ireton will battle a team coming off a 81-47 league loss to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 0-14.
The Mustangs (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets come into the DCSAA AA battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, St. John's edged DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), 61-56, in a league battle.
