Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX) and the host Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), saw Bovina's basketball squad overcome Highland Park by a tally of 43-27.

With the victory, Bovina improves its record to 10-15 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Farwell (Farwell, TX) to play the Steers in a 2A Region I District 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Steers come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Farwell won 57-41 in their recent league challenge against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Highland Park will attempt to improve on its 8-17 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 70-30 league win over Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX).
