Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Byron Bears (Byron, MN), 56-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lake City upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to play the Eagles in a AA Section 1 bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-17. Lourdes won 53-49 in their recent league bout against Pine Island (Pine Island, MN)

Next up, the Bears play the Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) in a AAA Section 1 bout, on Friday, January 26. Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 78-61 non-league win over Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN).
