Canton Tigers (Canton, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gentry Rams (Indianola, MS), 63-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Tigers host Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS) to clash with the Wolves in a 5A Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 18-5. Cleveland Central lost 44-35 in their recent league bout against Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Greenville Hornets (Greenville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Gentry will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 67-34 league loss to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS).
