The Carmel Corsairs basketball team (Mundelein, IL), was nudged 44-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Niles Notre Dame Dons (Niles, IL)

The Dons now possess a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a East Suburban Catholic battle on Friday, January 26. Niles Notre Dame will battle a Roadrunners team coming off a 54-49 non-league win over Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Roadrunners record now stands at 7-12.

The Corsairs (9-15) will now prepare for their battle against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL). The Redwings come into the East Suburban Catholic battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Benet Academy was nudged by Thornton (Harvey, IL), 63-54, in a non-league battle.
