The Cave City Cavemen basketball team (Cave City, AR), dropped 60-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR)
The Bearkatz now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walnut Ridge for a 3A Region 2 battle on Friday, January 26. Melbourne will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 65-54 league win over Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-8.
The Cavemen (9-12) will now prepare for their battle against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Hoxie dropped by Mountain View (Mountain View, AR), 76-40, in a league battle.
