In Tuesday's league outing, the Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central Chargers (Macon, GA), by a count of 73-49.

The Hurricanes (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Howard (Macon, GA). The Huskies go into the non-league bout with a 7-12 record. In their last bout, Howard was crushed by Northside (Warner Robins, GA), 63-59, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Chargers clash with the Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) in a AA Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 26. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Cherokees go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 77-57 league loss to Spencer (Columbus, GA).
