Yazoo City Indians (Yazoo City, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cleveland Central Wolves (Cleveland, MS), 44-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Yazoo City upgrades its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS) to play the Jaguars in a 5A Region 2 bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 4-16. Holmes County Central won 67-34 in their recent league bout against Greenville (Greenville, MS)

Next up, the Wolves play the Canton Tigers (Canton, MS) in a 5A Region 2 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Cleveland Central will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 18-3 record after their 63-21 league win over Gentry (Indianola, MS).
