In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN), by a count of 63-53.
The Eagles (3-11) will now prepare for their outing against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights go into the Big Smoky outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Robbinsville was topped by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 66-52, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Area Christian Academy for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 25. Copper Basin will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 58-37 non-league loss to Covenant Christian Academy (Cumming, GA). The Lions record now stands at 0-14.
