Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR), 69-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Corning upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Osceola (Osceola, AR) to play the Seminoles in a 3A Region 3 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Seminoles come into the bout with a record of 12-12. Osceola won 64-43 in their recent league bout against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR)

Next up, the Pirates play the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Gosnell will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Newport (Newport, AR).
