Georgia High School Basketball - Crisp County succumbs to Wilcox County

January 23, 2024: Rochelle, GA 31079

The Wilcox County Patriots topped the visiting Crisp County Cougars basketball team by a final score of 66-54 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Dooly County Bobcats (Vienna, GA) in a A D2 Region 4 game, on Saturday, January 27. Wilcox County will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 6-9 record after their 56-47 non-league loss to Macon County (Montezuma, GA).

With the defeat, Crisp County moves to 7-10 on the year. The Cougars travel to Dougherty (Albany, GA) to face the Trojans in a AAA Region 1 game on Friday, January 26. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 14-6. Dougherty won 64-61 in their recent league game against Carver (Columbus, GA)
