Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Decatur Red Raiders (Decatur, AL), 52-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cullman upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Hartselle (Hartselle, AL) to play the Tigers in a 6A Area 14 bout on Friday, January 26. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 11-13. Hartselle lost 50-44 in their recent league bout against Decatur (Decatur, AL)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Danville Hawks (Danville, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Decatur will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 64-41 league win over Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL).
