The Mabank Panthers basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Cumberland Academy Knights to 46 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brownsboro for a 4A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, January 26. Mabank will meet a Bears team coming off a 60-38 league win over Lindale (Lindale, TX). The Bears record now stands at 13-14.

The Knights (3-19) will now prepare for their contest against Athens (Athens, TX). The Hornets enter the 4A Region II District 16 contest with a 13-14 record. In their last contest, Athens triumphed over Canton (Canton, TX), 45-34, in a league contest.
