Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), 43-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Douglas County upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to New Manchester (Douglasville, GA) to clash with the Jaguar in a AAAAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 26. The Jaguar go into the bout with a record of 8-11. New Manchester lost 76-65 in their recent league bout against Alexander (Douglasville, GA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the East Paulding Raiders (Dallas, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Newnan will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 64-56 league loss to Paulding County (Dallas, GA).
