Edgewood Academy Wildcats (Elmore, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hooper Academy Colts (Hope Hull, AL), 59-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Edgewood Academy upgrades its record to 11-15 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Autauga Academy (Prattville, AL) to clash with the Generals in a AISA AA Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Autauga Academy lost 64-60 in their recent league bout against Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL)

Next up, the Colts clash with the Fort Dale Academy Eagles (Greenville, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Hooper Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 63-39 league win over Morgan Academy (Selma, AL).
