Texas High School Basketball - Edinburg North over La Joya

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) and the visiting La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX), saw Edinburg North's basketball squad overcome La Joya by a tally of 51-38.

With the victory, Edinburg North improves its record to 24-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Mission (Mission, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-20. Mission lost 46-44 in their recent league challenge against Edinburg (Edinburg, TX)

Next up, the Coyotes confront the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Friday, January 26. La Joya will attempt to improve on its 18-14 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 8-21 record after their 56-46 league win over Economedes (Edinburg, TX).
