The Edsel Ford Thunderbirds basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Lincoln Park Railsplitters to 42 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taylor for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Edsel Ford will battle a Griffins team coming off a 69-68 non-league win over Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI). The Griffins record now stands at 7-9.

The Railsplitters (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Carlson (Gibraltar, MI). The Marauders come into the Downriver contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Carlson was nudged by Anderson (Southgate, MI), 53-51, in a league contest.
