The Elgin Maroons basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Streamwood Sabres to 43 in the Maroons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Maroons now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a Upstate Eight contest on Friday, January 26. Elgin will meet a Hawks team coming off a 77-57 league win over Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 12-10.

The Sabres (1-21) will now prepare for their contest against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm enter the Upstate Eight contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, South Elgin triumphed over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL), 63-58, in a league contest.
