Nebraska High School Basketball - Sandy Creek topples Fairbury

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) basketball squad beat the host Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE), by a count of 55-37.

The Cougars (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sutton (Sutton, NE). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Sutton defeated Milford (Milford, NE), 39-29, in a non-league outing.

The Jeffs now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Johnson County Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 25. Fairbury will clash with a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 64-29 non-league win over Falls City (Falls City, NE). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 11-4.
