The Springfield Wildcats basketball team (Springfield, OH), was overwhelmed 59-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH)
The Firebirds now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miamisburg for a Greater Western Ohio battle on Friday, January 26. Fairmont will confront a Vikings team coming off a 61-55 league win over Northmont (Clayton, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 7-9.
The Wildcats (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Springboro (Springboro, OH). The Panthers come into the Greater Western Ohio battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Springboro trounced Wayne (Huber Heights, OH), 64-53, in a league battle.
