Farmville Central Jaguars (Farmville, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC), 99-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Farmville Central upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC) to play the Cougars in a 2A Eastern Plains battle on Friday, January 26. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 10-8. SouthWest Edgecombe lost 64-42 in their recent league battle against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC)

The Panthers (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC). The Rampants come into the non-league battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, J.H. Rose trounced Havelock (Havelock, NC), 70-57, in a league battle.
