The Farwell Steers basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Panhandle Panthers to 41 in the Steers league victory on Tuesday.

The Steers now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bovina for a 2A Region I District 3 contest on Friday, January 26. Farwell will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 43-27 league win over Highland Park (Amarillo, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-15.

The Panthers (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX). The Roughriders come into the 2A Region I District 3 contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Boys Ranch was defeated by Vega (Vega, TX), 70-30, in a league contest.
