Forrest City Mustangs (Forrest City, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR), 76-71 in a league bout.

With the victory, Forrest City upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Highland (Hardy, AR) to play the Rebels in a 4A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 26. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Highland lost 58-46 in their recent league bout against Blytheville (Blytheville, AR)

Next up, the Warriors play the Brookland Bearcats (Brookland, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Westside will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 18-3 record after their 60-53 league win over Blytheville (Blytheville, AR).
