Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fulton Pirates (Middleton, MI), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Sacred Heart Academy upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Irish host Coleman (Coleman, MI) to play the Comets in a Mid-State bout on Thursday, January 25. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Pirates play the Montabella Mustangs (Blanchard, MI) in a Mid-State bout, on Thursday, January 25. Fulton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 57-46 league win over Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI).
