Illinois High School Basketball - Galesburg Christian topped by Morning Star Academy

The Morning Star Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Galesburg Christian Lions to 29 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quad Cities Christian for a Northern Illinois Christian contest on Thursday, January 25. Morning Star Academy will battle a Eagles team coming off a 53-45 non-league win over Rivermont Collegiate (Bettendorf, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 14-3.

The Lions (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-State Christian (Dubuque, IA). The Huskies come into the Northern Illinois Christian contest with a 7-3 record.
