The Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Keystone Cobras to 52 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Marcos Academy for a TAPPS 3A District 4 contest on Friday, January 26. Giddings Lonestar Southeast will meet a Bears team coming off a 81-53 league loss to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Bears record now stands at 8-11.

The Cobras (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against The Christian School at Castle Hills (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles enter the TAPPS 3A District 4 contest with a 10-23 record. In their last contest, The Christian School at Castle Hills was nudged by Lutheran (San Antonio, TX), 63-59, in a league contest.
