With the victory, Goose Creek Memorial upgrades its record to 12-16 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 24-4. Barbers Hill lost 50-43 in their recent league bout against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, January 26. Nederland will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 42-33 league win over Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX).
