Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McCook Bison (McCook, NE), 62-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gothenburg upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Swedes travel to Cozad (Cozad, NE) to clash with the Haymakers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Haymakers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Cozad won 54-35 in their recent non-league bout against Minden (Minden, NE)

Next up, the Bison clash with the Ainsworth Bulldogs (Ainsworth, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. McCook will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 75-73 non-league loss to Holdrege (Holdrege, NE).
