Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) and the host Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders (Prosperity, WV), saw Webster County's basketball squad overcome Greater Beckley Christian by a tally of 89-69.

With the victory, Webster County improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to play the Eagles in a Little Kanawha - East challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Braxton County lost 58-51 in their recent league challenge against Roane County (Spencer, WV)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers (Princeton, WV) in a West Virginia Christian - AA challenge, on Friday, January 26. Greater Beckley Christian will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 72-63 non-league loss to Mountain Mission (Grundy, VA).
