The Lawrence Cardinals (Lawrenceville, NJ) basketball nipped the host Hamilton Hornets (Hamilton, NJ), 49-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Monroe Township nudged Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ), 59-58, in a league match.
With the defeat, Hamilton moves to 5-8 on the year. The Hornets host Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ) to meet the Rams in a Colonial Valley match on Friday, January 26. The Rams enter the match with a record of 8-8. Hightstown lost 66-58 in their recent league match against Ewing (Trenton, NJ)
