J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), 57-53 in a league bout.

With the win, J.L. Mann upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Patriots host Woodmont (Piedmont, SC) to clash with the Wildcats in a AAAAA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Woodmont lost 58-54 in their recent league bout against Mauldin (Mauldin, SC)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Hillcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 93-66 league loss to James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC).
