Portland Adventist Academy Cougars (Portland, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Horizon Christian Hawks (Tualatin, OR), 59-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Portland Adventist Academy upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Oregon Episcopal (Portland, OR) to clash with the Aardvarks in a 3A Lewis & Clark bout on Thursday, January 25. The Aardvarks go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Oregon Episcopal lost 60-36 in their recent league bout against Westside Christian (Lake Oswego, OR)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Valley Catholic Valiants (Beaverton, OR) in a 3A Lewis & Clark bout, on Thursday, January 25. Horizon Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Valiants go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 61-47 league win over Catlin Gabel (Portland, OR).
