York Wildcats (York, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), 56-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, York upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Wells (Wells, ME) to play the Warriors in a B South bout on Thursday, January 25. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 8-5. Wells won 76-69 in their recent league bout against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME)

Next up, the Lakers play the Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) in a B South bout, on Friday, January 26. Lake Region will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Capers come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 76-69 league loss to Wells (Wells, ME).
