Mississippi High School Basketball - Stringer trounced by Leake County

The Leake County Gators routed the visiting Stringer Red Devils basketball team by a final score of 71-38 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Gators face the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a 1A Region 7 game, on Monday, January 29. Leake County will attempt to move on its 10-13 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 3-15 record after their 54-27 non-league win over Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf (Wilson, NC).
With the defeat, Stringer moves to 5-16 on the year. The Red devils host Piney Woods (Piney Woods, MS) to face the Tornadoes in a 1A Region 7 game on Friday, January 26. The Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 7-5. Piney Woods won 42-38 in their recent league test against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS)
