Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME), 67-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Oceanside upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Mariners travel to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME) to play the Panthers in a B South bout on Friday, January 26. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Medomak Valley won 86-27 in their recent non-league bout against Belfast (Belfast, ME)

Next up, the Eagles play the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Lincoln Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 82-55 non-league loss to Mount Abram (Strong, ME).
