The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Wingate lost 49-43 in their recent league challenge against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM)

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) in a 3A District 1 test, on Thursday, January 25. Zuni will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 2-13 record after their 71-49 non-league loss to Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM).
