The Plainfield Cardinals basketball team (Plainfield, NJ), was toppled 69-59 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Union Catholic Vikings (Scotch Plains, NJ)
The Vikings now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westfield for a Mountain Valley - Mountain battle on Thursday, January 25. Union Catholic will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 58-48 league win over Union (Union, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-8.
The Cardinals (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Minutemen come into the Union County battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Elizabeth beat Union (Union, NJ), 60-47, in a league battle.
