South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), 63-58 in a league bout.

With the win, South Laurel upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 6-11. North Laurel lost 58-51 in their recent league bout against Clay County (Manchester, KY)

Next up, the Colonels clash with the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a District 50 bout, on Friday, January 26. Whitley County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Redhounds go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 65-50 league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY).
