North Carolina High School Basketball - Western Alamance holds off Southern Alamance

January 23, 2024: Elon, NC 27244

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) and the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), saw Western Alamance's basketball squad hold off Southern Alamance by a tally of 43-40.

With the victory, Western Alamance improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Warriors host Orange (Hillsborough, NC) to confront the Panthers in a 3A Central challenge on Friday, January 26. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-10. Orange won 75-67 in their recent league challenge against Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) in a 3A Central challenge, on Friday, January 26. Southern Alamance will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 55-39 non-league win over Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC).
