With the victory, Southside upgrades its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Carencro (Lafayette, LA) to play the Bears in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 11-14. Carencro lost 58-55 in their recent league challenge against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)

Next up, the Golden Tors play the Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Sulphur will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 35-34 league win over New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).
