The Union Hill Bulldogs basketball team (Gilmer, TX), was nudged 57-50 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Yantis Owls (Yantis, TX)
The Owls now possess a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sulphur Bluff for a 1A Region III District 24 battle on Friday, January 26. Yantis will confront a Bears team coming off a 73-25 league win over Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Bears record now stands at 21-9.
The Bulldogs (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Avery (Avery, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region III District 24 battle with a 15-14 record. In their last battle, Avery edged Avinger (Avinger, TX), 59-25, in a league battle.
