Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 58-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Santana upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Sultans travel to El Capitan (Lakeside, CA) to play the Vaqueros in a bout on Saturday, January 27. The Vaqueros come into the bout with a record of 13-3. El Capitan won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)

Next up, the Foothillers play the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) in a bout, on Saturday, January 27. Grossmont will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 25-24 league win over Grossmont (El Cajon, CA).
