Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX), 34-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Andrews upgrades its record to 12-16 on the season. The Mustangs host Seminole (Seminole, TX) to play the Indians in a 4A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 26. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 24-4.

Next up, the Loboes play the Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Monahans will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 10-20 record after their 47-11 league win over Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX).
