In their next game, the Spartans face the Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA) in a River Ridge game, on Friday, January 26. Salem will attempt to move on its 15-1 season record. The Titans enter the game with a 6-10 record after their 39-37 non-league win over William Byrd (Vinton, VA).

With the defeat, Blacksburg moves to 9-6 on the year. The Bruins host Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to face the Buffaloes in a non-league game on Thursday, January 25. The Buffaloes enter the game with a record of 8-4. Floyd County lost 46-42 in their recent league game against James River (Buchanan, VA)
